25-YEAR-OLD MALIA OBAMA USED A DIFFERENT NAME ON THE CREDITS OF HER FIRST MOVIE SHE DIRECTED
The daughter of former president and the first lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, Malia Obama, had the premier of her shot film, “The Heart,” at the Sundance Film Festival, and at the credits, her family last name was not at the screen.
Malia Ann Obama was born on the 4th of July, 1998, where her middle name was to honor Barack’s mother. After Malia was a grown up, she decided to had her own career in movie industry.
In her movie, “The Heart,” Malia was the director and screenwriter, where she chose her name on the display as Malia Ann. She had appeared at the red carpet event of 2024 Sundance Fil Festival.
Malia was joined to the writer team of the “Swarm,” where it aired on Amazon Prime. The series, starring by Billie Eilish, and Rory Culkin, has a promising future.
Co-creator of the “Swarm,” Janine Nabers had talked about Malia, and said, “Some of her pitches were wild as hell, and they were just so good and so funny. She’s an incredible writer,” and added, “She brought a lot to the table… She’s really, really dedicated to her craft.”
We can’t be easy on her just because she’s the [former] President’s daughter,” executive producer of “Swarm,” Stephen Glover said. “Nah, she’s very down to earth, and cool. So, it’s not a problem at all.”
As her parents are proud with their daughters, Barack and Michelle Obama had celebrated their daughter’s birthday from their social media accounts.
Michelle Obama had captioned the post she shared for her daughter’s birthday as, “Happy birthday, Malia! I feel so lucky to be your mom and to be able to watch you become the wonderful young woman you are today. Love you so much! 💕”
