Tragic Flash Flood Claims Mother’s Life in Pennsylvania

A sudden flash flood in Pennsylvania devastated a family, claiming the life of 32-year-old Katie Seley as she heroically tried to save her two young children, Mattie and Conrad, who remain missing.

The flood struck unexpectedly, flooding General Washington Memorial Boulevard and trapping vehicles.

Katie, her husband Jim, their eldest son Jack, and her mother Dahlia were visiting relatives and heading to a barbecue when their car was engulfed. Jim managed to save Jack, but Katie and her mother were torn from the children by the raging waters.

Rescuers recovered Katie’s body, and the search for Mattie and Conrad continues. The family, shattered by the tragedy, is grateful for the community’s support during this heartbreaking time.
