Miss Teen USA Passes in a Tragic Car Cra…

Santa Rosa County, FL – An 18-year-old woman, identified as Kadance Fredericksen, tragically lost her life in a car accident in Santa Rosa County, Florida. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that Fredericksen was driving her sedan when it collided with a tractor-trailer driven by a 56-year-old Milton man. According to reports, the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the crash, and the Florida Highway Patrol has stated that the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made in connection with the accident at this time.

A Life Cut Short Fredericken
Fredericksen, who was well known in the pageant community, had previously won the title of Miss Okaloosa County Teen USA and participated in various beauty pageants. However, beyond her achievements in pageantry, she was widely recognized for her philanthropy and dedication to helping children in need.

Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and her community in mourning. Baker School, where Fredericksen was a student, posted a heartfelt tribute on social media, describing her as “a beacon of light in our community.” The school also noted the significant impact of her charitable initiative, Kada’s Promise, which has helped thousands of children.

Promise: A Legacy of Love
In 2017, Fredericksen founded Promise, a charity initiative that provided teddy bears and blankets to children in foster care, abuse shelters, and hospitals. Inspired by her own difficult childhood experiences, Fredericksen wanted to offer comfort to children facing hardship.

“During many dark times in my early childhood, the only thing that I could call my own or that made me feel safe was a single teddy bear that I received as a gift,” Fredericksen told Wear News in 2019. “I carried him with me from house to house, couch to couch, and clutched him tightly in the scariest times. It is from these memories that Kada’s Promise was born.”

According to the Baker School’s tribute post, Fredericksen’s initiative has provided over 12,000 teddy bears and blankets to children in need. Although the Facebook page for Kada’s Promise is currently locked, the organization has received widespread recognition and appreciation for its work.
