Tragic Plane Crash Claims Lives of America’s Beloved Family En Route to Concert

The gospel music world is mourning the devastating loss of seven members of the beloved gospel family, The Nelons, following a tragic plane crash. The accident, which occurred while the family was traveling to a concert, claimed the lives of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, son-in-law Nathan Kistler, longtime family associate Melanie Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife, Melissa.

The only survivor, Autumn Nelon Streetman, has since released a heartfelt statement expressing her immense grief while thanking supporters for their prayers during this unimaginable time.

A Heartbreaking Loss for Gospel Music

The Nelons have been a cornerstone of gospel music for decades, touching countless lives with their harmonies and heartfelt messages of faith. Autumn Nelon Streetman, the only surviving member of the family from the crash, is now faced with an unimaginable tragedy. In a statement, she shared her heartbreak, expressing how deeply she misses her loved ones while also acknowledging the overwhelming support and prayers from fans, friends, and the gospel music community.

“I don’t have the words to describe this pain, but I do know that God is with me, even in the darkest of moments. My family lived to share the love of Christ through music, and though they are no longer here with me, their legacy will never fade,” Autumn wrote.
