Indie Country singer Katie Jayne took “merch on demand” to a whole new level—by literally giving a fan the shirt off her back. In a video posted to her Instagram, Jayne is asked by a concertgoer for her black shirt, which bears the caption “Boys Lie.” The country singer says yes, but there’s a stipulation…“You gotta put it on,” Jayne tells the young fan.
The fan agrees, and then Jayne begins to take her shirt off. However, when the big moment comes, the singer has on a black tank top version of the shirt underneath, complete with the slogan “Boys Lie” on it.
The fan accepts the T-shirt and immediately puts it on as promised. The pair then share a hug, with Jayne all smiles. “Now we’re matching,” Jayne jokes.
The clip then cuts to a selfie angle with Jayne and the fan after the shirt-giving. “What does your shurt say,” Jayne asks. The fan, clearly hoarse from a night of screaming from the crowd manages to belt out a weak, “Boys lie!”
